Breaking the Cycle

Education is a major resource to end the cycle of poverty. Yet, around two million children remain out of school in Yemen. Since the beginning of the conflict, attacks on children, teachers, and education infrastructure have severely disrupted access to education. According to the U.N., more than 3,600 schools have closed since March 2015.

Pure Hands is on a mission to help rebuild schools, build mobile classrooms, sponsor unpaid teachers, provide classroom materials, and more. Join us to break the cycle of poverty and uplift the next generation of Yemen.

Mobile Classroom

Security and weather conditions hinder access to education by creating unsafe conditions for students. To protect the children and keep them in school, we are building closed and secure classrooms. With $ 7,750, we can establish a mobile classroom in an IDP camp.

Sponsor a Teacher

Nearly three-quarters of public school teachers in 11 governorates have not been paid for years now. For only $100 a month, you can provide a sustainable salary to support a teacher and allow them to continue their work.

Back To School

With adequate school supplies, like a backpack and books, students can focus on learning rather than worrying about basic stationery. For $40 per child, you can provide school supplies and a school uniform.
