Pure Hands Breaks Ground on New Dialysis Center at Kara Hospital in Marib
Marib, Yemen – Pure Hands President and CEO Dr. Mohamed Alhajaji visited Kara Hospital in Marib Governorate to review preparations for the construction, equipping, and operation of a new dialysis center, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to supporting the health sector and strengthening life-saving medical services.
During the visit, Dr. Mohamed Alhajaji participated in the project’s official launch ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Marib for Administrative Affairs and the Director of the Health and Population Office in Marib Governorate.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Governor praised the role of Pure Hands in supporting the health sector in Marib Governorate and commended the organization’s ongoing interventions, including this vital project, which will represent an important addition to medical services in the area.
Following the ceremony, Dr. Mohamed Alhajaji, alongside the Deputy Governor and the Director of the Health Office, laid the foundation stone for the dialysis center, marking the official start of the project. He also received a detailed presentation from the implementing engineer outlining the project’s components, technical specifications, and expected timeline for completion.
During the visit, Dr. Mohamed Alhajaji also reviewed a recorded statement from the Director of the Health Office, who praised Pure Hands’ continued support for the governorate’s health sector and highlighted several pressing healthcare needs that require additional intervention, particularly in the area of specialized medical care.
The new dialysis center is expected to provide a critical healthcare service for patients requiring life-saving treatment while helping to reduce the burden on existing medical facilities. Once completed, the project will play an important role in easing patients’ suffering and expanding access to specialized medical care for the local community.
